| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Research investigating student conceptions can be fraught with difficulty. How does a researcher, often relatively unknown to the children being studied, get them to express personal thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and understandings? Language based techniques like questionnaires and interviews can provide limited access to young children's thoughts (Clarebout, Elen, Leonard, & Lowyck, 2007). Within interview contexts, children of all ages may be hesitant to talk; Peterson and Barron (2007) describe elicit· ing participation in high school focus group interviews as "like extracting teeth" (p. 141). |
