The objective of this thesis is to study thesocio-economic aspects and the problems of itsinhabitants in the public housing project, analyze andevaluate the facts compared with the policy andobjectives of the National Housing Authority to findways to improve the public housing project. From the research, we found that thesocio-economic aspects of the sampling group are mostly40-49 years old with a family member of 3 upto 4. Theymostly are hired worker and vendors who has income ofnot more than Baht 5,000 per month The officials of thePort Authority of Thailand under housing welfareproject have service more than 15 years and have nottheir own residence. The residents had lived in the houses whoselandlord is the Port Authority of Thailand. Mostly areliving more than 10 years in this project. The cause ofliving is that they have been forced to leave andremove from his house. Klongtoey Public Housing Project can help thosewho have low income and are in trouble of residence andactually earns a living in Klongtoey community. Itmakes them feel stable in living there to some extentwithout thinking of being chased out. Moreover, thisproject actually helps the officials of the PortAuthority of Thailand come to work easily that makesthem work effectively.
