| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | A test was conducted in an attempt to distinguish between gaze and attention using vibrotactile stimulators attached to homologous fingers. Gaze was directed to left hand, right hand, or centre point and attention remained constant throughout each block of trials. Stimuli from the vibrotactile stimulators fired simultaneously, one or two ‘taps’ which were reported by participants using foot pedals. These pulses were either incongruent or congruent. The effects of distraction, in reactions times, would demonstrate a congruency effect. Any relation between gaze and congruency would distinguish between gaze and attention, which have previously been linked. No significant interactions were found between gaze and congruency suggesting that gaze does not modulate tactile processing independently. |
