| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | In this study I shall be concerned with multiple negation in Chaucer’s translation works The Romaunt of the Rose (verse) and Boece (prose). Multiple negation is understood as involving two or more negative elements that do not cancel each other out but jointly express a negation reading. The main purpose of the study is to describe the types of multiple negation in the two texts as well as to compare the usage of multiple negation in the two different styles. |
