The structural intensity technique was used to determine the in-plane wave power flow in technically orthotropic plates in the frequency domain. The measurement method, applicable for naturally orthotropic plates was used to estimate in-plane vibration power flow in rectangular corrugated plates (technically orthotropic) using the method of elastic equivalence. The in-plane wave power from rectangular corrugated plates was compared to that of isotropic plate. The effect of in-plane stiffness on vibration power flow and input in-plane power to the plates were also investigated. Two ends fixed and other two ends free boundary conditions of the plates were considered for both isotropic plate and corrugated plates. It was observed that the effect of in-plane stiffness on power flow was insignificant in the whole frequency range, especially at higher range. At some particular frequency, especially at the lower frequency range, the in-plane vibration power flow was observed to be negative, which showed that in-put excitation point acted as a sink at that frequency. In general, the in-plane vibration power flow was gradually reduced with the increase of frequency.
