บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย :

The axiom ‘publish or perish’ seems well established within the university environment. However, this axiom can be quite daunting for new or emerging researchers seeking to enter the research and academic disciplines. Surely there are a number of activities which successful researchers regularly employ? Time management guidelines perhaps? Or guides to effective work or study rooms? How can we all become more effective researchers? By surveying the current members of the Women in Research network and other female researchers within Central Queensland University (CQU), common themes and suggestions for research effectiveness were highlighted. Thus, the main outcome of this first stage of exploratory research was the development of preliminary guidelines for future women in research. After all, the lessons learnt by past and current women in research are important for all of us. In summary, the study is designed to encourage and support all women researchers at CQU, from those commencing their postgraduate research to those who are involved in academic research at a professional level.
