| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Environmental pollution in process industries is presented. Industrial pollutants and their sources in four industries, namely, iron and steel, sugar, pulp and paper, and fertilizer industries are identified and discussed. Pollution load generated from process industries in Bangladesh is presented. Most polluting industry is identified. Water pollution load from process industries in Bangladesh is compared with that of process industries in Australia. The contribution of industrial pollutants into environment significantly varies from one industry type to another, and from one country to another. The relationships between rational use of energy in industry and environmental impacts are discussed. The possible remedies to control environmental pollution, for better environment and human hygiene, are recomended. |
