The project ‘Design and Implementation of a Prototype Automatic System to Measure Website Maturity Level for e-Government Development’ has been approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan and Asia-Pacific Tele-community (APT) for APT under Collaborative HRD Programme for Exchange of ICT Researchers and Engineers on Advanced ICT (2005). The project will be a further development part of the Service E-readiness Explorer Indicator project (SEE-Indicator project) which has been one of the principal items on the agenda of the project namely Government Information Technology Infrastructure (GITI) under the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Thailand. With an ambitious target for a certain extent of a fully automatic system to measure the maturity level in all levels of administration and community domain where all level of citizens will have equal opportunity to access the government content and services, the GITI’s researcher team wish to collaborate with a certain Japanese counterpart which is the researcher team of Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies(GITS), Waseda University that have cumulative experiences on assessing e-Government websites for years. By sharing experiences of both sides of the Japanese and Thai researchers and technical staffs, this project aims to design and implement related application systems to a certain extent of automation.
