The epoxy-based resin was formulated to employ as solar-roofing adhesive. Epoxy resin was cured using different types of hardener. The temperature dependence of the curing process was studied by DSC. The thermal properties of the cured resins were determined by DSC and DMA to investigate the effect of adhesive ingredients. The adhesion ability of formulated resins in joining silicon wafer to ceramic substrate was examined. Ageing test was also performed to evaluate the change in the performance of formulated adhesives after being subjected to thermal cycles, in comparison to the commercial adhesive used in electronic industry.
