ชิ้นส่วนและผลิตภัณฑ์พลาสติกมีบทบาทมากในชีวิตประจำวันของเราในปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะผลิตภัณฑ์พลาสติกในอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์และบรรจุภัณฑ์ที่ได้มา จากกระบวนการฉีดขึ้นรูปในแม่พิมพ์ เนื่องจากสามารถขึ้นรูปให้เป็นรูปร่างต่าง ๆ ได้มากกว่ากระบวนการขึ้นรูปลักษณะอื่น แม้ว่าจะเป็นรูปร่างที่ซับซ้อนก็ตาม โดยอาศัยเทคโนโลยีทางด้านแม่พิมพ์เข้ามาช่วย ซึ่งในปัจจุบันอุตสาหกรรมงานฉีดพลาสติกในประเทศไทยมีโรงงานฉีดพลาสติกอยู่ หลายพันโรงงาน ทั้งที่เป็นขนาดใหญ่ ปานกลาง และขนาดเล็ก แต่บุคลากรในโรงงานส่วนใหญ่ยังขาดความรู้พื้นฐานที่ถูกต้องในการปรับตั้ง พารามิเตอร์ต่าง ๆ ในการฉีด ใช้วิธีการในการปรับตั้งพารามิเตอร์การฉีดที่ไม่เป็นระบบ ทำให้เกิดปัญหามากมาย เช่น การเก็บข้อมูลจากพารามิเตอร์การฉีดที่ไม่แน่นอน มีการปรับเปลี่ยนตัวแปรที่ป้อนเข้าอยู่เสมอ รวมทั้งยังมีข้อผิดพลาดของพารามิเตอร์ที่ใช้ปรับตั้งอยู่ด้วย จึงทำให้เกิดปัญหาซ้ำๆ ซากๆ แม้ว่าจะเป็นการผลิตชิ้นงานพลาสติกตัวเดิมก็ตาม และจากที่ในโรงงานขาดระบบการปรับตั้งพารามิเตอร์การฉีดที่เป็นมาตรฐาน รวมทั้งเครื่องจักรที่ขาดการบำรุงรักษาที่ดี พนักงานแต่ละคนจึงใช้มาตรฐานของตนเองในการปรับตั้งพารามิเตอร์ ทำให้คุณภาพชิ้นงานไม่คงที่ การควบคุม และแก้ไขปัญหาจึงเป็นไปได้ลำบาก จากเหตุผลดังกล่าว รวมทั้งจากประสบการณ์ที่เคยจัดการฝึกอบรมและทำโครงการที่ปรึกษาให้กับบริษัท ในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมพลาสติกมากกว่า 100 โรงงาน เห็นว่าควรจัดให้มีการฝึกอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อพัฒนาบุคลากรในแต่ละโรงงาน ฉีดพลาสติก ให้มีแนวความคิด ความรู้พื้นฐาน และระบบที่ถูกต้องในการปรับตั้งพารามิเตอร์ต่าง ๆ ในการฉีดและการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องจักร เพื่อให้เกิดระบบในการควบคุม ตรวจสอบ และแก้ปัญหาข้อบกพร่องที่เกิดขึ้นในงานฉีด ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้ได้คุณภาพชิ้นงานคงที่ สามารถวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุของปัญหาได้อย่างเป็นระบบและรวดเร็วขึ้น รวมทั้งควรส่งเสริมให้เกิดผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการฉีดพลาสติกเพิ่มมากขึ้นให้ เพียงพอกับความต้องการของอุตสาหกรรม Plastic materials and products play an important role in our life. They are used more and more in Thai industries, especially in automobile and packaging area. Because of the ease of plastic to form the complex shapes with less cost than other materials, the plastic manufacturing industry have grown very fast within last 30 years. Today, there are several thousands of plastic factories in Thailand. Plastic Injection molding is the major area for the Thai plastic industries. More than 90% of those factories are in small and medium sized which still lack of the fundamental knowledge about plastic technology such as machine setup, machine maintenance, etc. For example, the technicians use trial and error method to set up the machine with no theoretical support. All knowledge gains from experiences which take very long time and still have the limitation of the learning curve. Lacking of theoretical background causes some problems in the products such as the inconsistence of product quality, and the high percentage of defects. For most companies, each technician has different methods for setup the machine, therefore, data collection of injection parameters is not done properly and can not be controlled. The technicians have to adjust the new conditions to the injection machine every time when they face the problems. This makes it so difficult to solve problems quickly. From these reasons (as mentions above), ITAP would like to organize the workshop and consultancy project to enhance the fundamental knowledge of the technician who is working on plastic injection process. This will also include the method to make the systematic machine setup and how to maintenance the injection molding machine. We (ITAP members) have the experiences in organizing workshops and giving consultancy services to more than 100 factories in the plastic injection area. We believe, this project will help the technicians who work related with the injection molding machine to understand the basic background. Then, they can setup and maintain the machine correctly. This project will improve their ability to work correctly with the machine. They will be able to make process consistently and be able to analyze problems quickly. This project will also create the new experts in this field as we will invite some engineers to join the project and absorb practical knowledge from our experienced expert.
