| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | The study presents a simple dynamic stochastic model for urban land development under uncertainty. The main objective is to examine the developer's optimal plans when he must choose both the development time and house type for each location. The study employs the following assumptions to limit the scope of interests: (i) there are n types of houses and households, (ii) housing rents follow geometric Brownian motion processes, (iii) developers are risk neutral and share common expectation, and (iv) households can move freely which implies that the model is an open city type. The study is able to obtain the optimal plans for house type and development time. In addition, it shows that urban sprawl can occur as a result of these optimal plans. |
