The purposes of this research were to study problems related to the management and operation of the swimming pools in Bangkok Five - hundred questionaires were sent out Metropolis between 4 - 25th. 1995 to pool managers, water-safety instructors, and pool activity participants to answer problems related to personnel, finance, facility, equipment, Material, pool hygiene, pool, general management and operation. Results are as follows : Personnel : Manager, water-safety instructor and other supporting personnel must be well trainned in their fields of specialties. Finance : Service and membership fees should be kept at a reasonable level. Equipment, Facility, Material and Pool : All of these items must be in safe and clean conditions. Them should be swimming areas for beginners and children as well. Pool Hygiene : Water must be clean and safe for swimming. All pool arers must take a shower before going into the pool. General Management and Operation : Activities should be varried and aimed at pormoting physical and mental well-beings, including to the promotion of unity and understanding among pool users. Suggestion : Pool owners should have a professional pool maintenance person or company take care of the water cleanliness and other general hygiene of the pool.
