The purpose of the research were to study and to compare the roles of secretaries perceived by the administrators and secretaries. The sample use in this study was based on the data obtained from 153 secretaries in the Women Secretaries Association of Thailand and 153 administrators of these secretaries. Total numbers were 306 persons. A set of rating - scale questionaires constructed by the researcher was used as the instrument for data collection. Percents, means, variances, t-test and F-test of data. The result of the study revealed as follow

The administrators and secretaries perceived to roles of secretaries in relation to their administration, operation, immage of organization and office automation as a whole scored averagely at the high level by the immage of organization was the highest. The administration was scored averagely at the lowest level by the administrators. The office automation was scored averagely at the lowest level by the secretaries. 2. The test of difference between the opinions of administrators and secretaries to finding were as follows:2.1 To the opinions of administrators and secretaries were not different in the administration.2.2 To the opinions of administrators and secretaries to the statistically significant difference at the level of .01 in the operation by the test results that administrators showed higher opinions scale than secretaries.2.3 To the opinions of administrators and secretaries to the statistically significant difference at the level of .01 in the immage of organization by the test results that administrators showed higher opinions scale than secretaries.2.4 To the opinions of administrators and secretaries were not different in the office automation. 3. The test of difference between the opinions of the administrators of the large business organization, administrators of the middle business organization and administrators of the small business organization were not different. 4. The test of difference of secretaries that have experience between 5 - 10 years and more than 10 years were not different.
