The purposes of this research were to study and to compare the leadership competencies of the primary school administrators classified by sex, education qualification and working experience, as preceived by assistant principals and heads of experienced group under the jurisdiction of Bangkok Metropolis. The population consisted of 552 samples : 217 assistantprincipals and 335 heads of experienced group of the primary schools working in Bangkok Metropolis under the Department of General Education. The major instrument used in this study was the questionnaire adapted from the questionaire of Seashore and others that was translated to Thai by Chareon Tungtong. It contained 10 factors which were Production Orientation, Control of Work, Goal Setting, Problem Solving, Subordinate Relations, Bias, Consideration, Participation, Decision Centralization and Competence. The t-test, Means and Standard deviation were applied in order to analyze the data. It was found that the principlals accomplished 6 out of 10 factors in highly satisfaction or superior level. They were Production Orientation. Consideration, Deicision Centralization, Competence, Goal Setting and Subordinate Relations, the other factors were accomplished in moderate level. To compare the perception of the principals calssified by sex, education qualification and working experience, if was found that for the assistant principals, attitude, Bio-socio factor of principals was not the important factors that differ the leadership competance of them. Wheres the attiude of heads of experienced group was found that these factors affected the perception of the principals in some aspects.
