The purpose of this research was to compare the students communication ability and attitude toward Thai Teaching of Mathayom Suksa I students between rold-play and Teachers Manual The Sample was Mathayom Suksa I students at Pakkret School, Amphur Pakkret Nonthaburi during the first semester of the 1995 academic year. They were devided into two groups of 30 students. Each group was taught in the same contents for 24 periods of 50 munutes. The experimental group was taught through the role-play method where as the control group was taught through the teachers manual. The research design of the experiment was the randomized control group pretest-posttest design At the end of the experiment, the Thai Language communication ability test and the attitude test towards Thai teaching were used to collect the data and then the data was statistically analysed by using t-test. The resulth of the research indicated that : 1. The Thai Language communication ability of the students into two group were significantly. 2. The attitude of Thai Teaching of the student in the two groups was no significantly different.
