The purpose of this study was to examine the conflict management styles of the district superintendents in educational region V and to examine the relationship between the conflict management styles and the selected variables which were educational qualification, administrative experience and training experience. The samples composed of 45 district superintendents working in the office of the district superintendent in educational region V. The Thomas - Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument was used to assess five conflict management styles which are competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating. Frequencies, percentage and Chi-square were applied in order to analyze the data. The major conclusions of this study were as follows :- 1. The conflict management styles most frequently used were avoiding and accommodating, while the competing style were slightly used. 2. No significant differences were found between the conflict management style scores of the district superintendent and educational qualification, administrative experience and training experience. Based on the findings, the researcher proposed several recommendations to improve the conflict management skills of the district superintendents.
