Climbing Perch, Anabas testudineus (Block) is a popular eatable fresh water fish. It has been found that when infested with the parasites they would be destroyed, or died off thus decreased the production. Besides, the parasites could pass through man and other animals. This study aims at discovering the causes of parasites infecting the Climbing Perch. A study conducted with a total number of 480 investigating fishes, and 282 were found to be infested with the parasites (58.75%). Nanophyetus sp., Posthodiplostomum larai., Allocreadium sp., Gauhatiana batrachii, Genarchopsis sp.

(b) seven species of nematode

Camallanus Anabantis, Camallanus yehi, Zeylanema pearsei, Spinitectus sp., Procamallanus planoratus, Proleptus anabantis, Contracaecum sp.

(c) one species of acanthocephala

Pallisentis nagpurensis. The highest number of infested helminth was Camallanus anabantis (36.50%) and found every month during our study. The least number was Contracaecum sp. (0.03%). The intestine was heavily infested with the helminth as high as 56.88%.
