Problems and Suggestions for improving laboratory teaching practice

and to compare laboratory teaching practice of Home Economics instructors and problems and suggestions based on their general background. One hundred and seventy six questionnaires were handed to Home Economics instructors in Bangkok Metropolis and 162 were returned. The statistical analyses were percentage, mean and chi-square. The results of the research showed that : the majority of Home Economics instructors of Rajamangala Institute of Technology were female, 40.8 years old in average, single, having teaching experience between 1/2-10 years with bachelor degree, and teaching at Diploma level. The knowledge in Home Economics curriculum was at moderate level. Most of laboratory Teaching practice emphasized on laboratory, lecture and demonstration for students future application. Very few practices in other academic sources were provided. The overall problems about curriculum, students, equipment and budget were at moderate level. The suggestions for the improvement were on these problems and the evaluation process. The results of the research showed that : Home Economics instructors with different background imformation provided different laboratory teaching practices, problems and suggestions, except the instructors who taught in different levels did not have different problems, signifinicantly at the .05 level.
