The objectives of this thesis were to study role performance, comparison of differences in role performance by woman Koom committee with different age, income, acquisition of Koom information, comprehensiveness of the Koom committee role, expectation of benefit from being a committee member and problems in role performance. Samples had been selected through the multi-stage sampling technique. Data, from 138 samples, were collected by using a structed interview method, analysed by such statistical methods as percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test at 0.05 level of statistical significance. The findings were that in average the woman Koom committee members had performed their roles at a high level. The committee members with high income, much acquisition of the Koom information and high expectation of benefit from being a committee had performed their roles at a higher degree than those with low income, less acquisition of the Koom information and low expectation of benefit from being a committee. Those with different age and level of comprehensiveness of the committee roles had performed their roles at an indifferent degree. The problems found were that some committee members did not understand their roles. Some Koom members did not understand the system of Koom, expected no benefit from Koom, gave no financial support and did not attend the meeting. Moreover, some government officials who had responsibility on Koom system did not try their best to follow up the role performance of Koom committee members.
