The objective of the research is to analyse thesuitability of models to be used for contractorrequalification, the desired characteristics of whichinclude the avoidance of the evaluators' bias and theability to reflect the contractors' success potential.The steps in the research consist of: a) studyingexisting requalification models, domestic andinternationa, b) studying factors which were used forcontractor requalification c) surveying of data offactors that have correlation with construction valuesand contractors' classification, from building as wellas civil contractors, consultants and owners d) analysethe models in four aspects: data representation, modelsensitivity, convenience of application and selectionaccuracy, e) analyse models that were applied forcontractor classification, building and civil, f)conclusive remark on the suitability of each models forcontractor requalification. It was found that the models which meet basicrequirements include Linear Model, MultiattributeUtility Model, Linear Regression Model and Fuzzy SetModel. Each model was analyzed in four aspects: datarepresentation, model sensitivity, convenience ofapplication and selection accuracy. It was found thatLinear Model and Multiattribute Utility Model aresuitable for contractor prequalification and contractorclassification. The Fuzzy Set Model can be used forcomparing the contractors with less weak points. TheLinear Regression Model is not appropriate forcontractor prequalification due to the coefficient ofthis function not being compatible with reality. Themodels which are appropriate for use need data that arecorrect and correspond with the characteristics ofprequalification organization.
