The increase in Middle East people traveling to Thailand on medical purpose will leave the impact to the Thailand Health Policy. To our knowledge, no research is conducted about this matter. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the health care service provided for Middle East people in Thailand by using both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Secondary data and interviewing the administrative officers from various agents dealing with the medical tourism are explored such as the private hospital administrators; the high ranking officers from the Middle East countries, i.e. United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain as well as the Thai officers from different departments are also included. The researcher found that many types of the health care services have been provided to Middle East patients such as medical tourism, moderate illness and complex illness. The majority of heath care service are for curative not for preventive. The reasons, for health care services utilization in Thailand, are the satisfaction on quality of health care and the efficiency of health care system. However, the researcher still have difficulties to obtain the official data about the numbers of health care provided for Middle East people from private hospitals because of the fierce competition of this sector. Furthermore, the data from the Thai government are haphazard. Therefore the interesting question is: can Thailand maintain herself as the Medical Hub in Asia? It remains to be discussed and need further in depth studies about the impact of the Medical Hub on several aspects i.e. Thai economy, the health system for local people, human resources in health sector, and pricing of medical services. This study suggests that it is high time for Thailand, both government and private sector, to closely cooperate together to set the national health policy for the benefits of both Thai and Middle East citizens.
