| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Organochlorinated pesticides viz. DDTs, HCHs, and Cyclodiene compounds have been detected in the sediment samples of Yamuna River around Delhi, India during the three seasons namely pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon. Five sampling sites were selected for the purpose of study. Among the organochlorine pesticides detected, t-DDT was the most predominant in the sediments of Yamuna River. The concentration of t-DDT was in the range of 63.0-236.0 ng/g during the pre-monsoon and decreased considerably during the monsoon (38.0-197.7 ng/g) and post-monsoon (18.4-26.8 ng/g) periods respectively. Najafgarh site was found to be carrying the maximum load of pollutants, exceeding the permissible limits |
