| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Trichodesmium, an important nitrogen fixing marine genus has some coupled features that appear contrasting, either in their operational requirements or ecological dominance e.g. N2 fixation and photosynthesis take place in the same trichome, former preferring oxygenless condition while the later inevitably releasing the oxygen. Similarly the presence of gas vacuoles facilitating + ve buoyancy for surficial dominance and also in descending dawn to avoid mid day irradiance. A perusal of literature too intrigue the researchers due to observational inadequacies, as same species some reporting as toxic and some others, as non-toxic. The communication is a commentary on some such enigmas. |
