| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | The Philippines is both a producing and consuming country of milkfish. In 1984, statistics from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) revealed that there were about 207,000 ha of brackish-water ponds in the Philippines, 90% of which are devoted to milkfish culture. In 1980, the per capita consumption of fish was 20 kg per year (Smith and Chang, 1984) or 54% of per capita animal protein consumption. Milkfish is acceptable to all the socio-economic strata of the Filipino society. |
