This predictive study aimed to study factors predicting service-minded behaviors of registered nurses . of community hospitals in three southern border pr6vi&esif Thailand. The sainplGs of the study were 78 registered nurses worlung at the community hospitals.ultistage random sampling was used. The sample size . was calculated by using G* Power. The research instrument used in h study was a questionnaire consistmg of 40 items includng general information, patient advocacy, acceptance of indvidual dfferences, cultural com' petency, and the service-minded behaviors. The content validity of the questionnaire was checked by three experts. The questionnaire's reliabhty was examined using Cronbach's alpha coefficient yielding a value of patient advocacy .72, acceptance of individual dfierences .82, cultural competency .80; and the serviceiminded . behaviors .87. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistids, and multiple regression analysis (stepwise). The results showed that overall, the service-rninded dehaviors of the registered nurses were at the highest level (z = 4.55, S.D.= 0.37). The acceptance of iddividual differences (Beta = .454) and the cultural competency (Beta = .433) factors predicted 61.90% variant in the service-minded behaviors among the rewtered nurses in the community hospitals with statistical significance at the ,001 level (adj. = 619).- Therefore, the reptered nurses in the community hospitals in the southern border provinces to strengthenserviceminded behaviors in relation to the acceptance of individual differences and the cultural competency.
