HPV is a virus with more than 100 species which causes infection, Condyloma acuminate decease with sexual organs and anus and eventually leads to cancer, especially in groups of homosexual males who engage in anal sex. This study aimed at analyzing knowledge and awareness along with relationship between knowledge and awareness about human papilloma virus (HPV) infection of male homosexuality in Chiang Mai Province. Samples of the study were 420 homosexual males. Data were collected from April to May 2013 by questionnaires and analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Results of the study showed that overall homosexual males had low level of knowledge about HPV, 46.0 percent ("X" ̅ = 5.43, SD = 4.13). However, they had awareness about the danger of HPV at high level, 56.4 percent (("X " ) ̅= 34.55, SD = 34). Considering the relationship between knowledge and awareness about HPV of homosexual males, it was found that there was statistical significance in their relationship at level of 0.00 (p < 0.01). From the study results, knowledge and awareness should be promoted among homosexual males to make them it easy for them to access for information through proper media.
