Problem Statement: The constitution of the kingdom of Thailand B.E. 2550 (A.D.2007)Prescribed that each person has the right to be educated at least 15 years and thegovernment must provide quality education for people throughout the country. Thus, itaffects the educational change of the country in terms of people tend to study in highereducation and local people tend to move to towns for studying so they require theirresidences during this period. The purposes of this research were these 1) to investigatethe background of private dormitories for students in northeast Thailand, 2) to investigatethe situation of ethical difficulties in private dormitories for students in northeast Thailandand 3) to set appropriate ethical standards for students in private dormitories in northeastThailand. Research area were Ubon Ratchathani Province, Si Sa Ket Province and SurinProvince. The population was male and female students studying in a senior high school, avocational certificate, a higher vocational certificate and a bachelor's degree who wasliving in private dormitories in municipal areas. A sample was selected by means of apurposive sampling consisted of 36 key informants, 42 casual informants and 24 generalinformants. Research instruments used for collecting data were a survey, an observation, aninterview, a focus group discussion and a workshop. A triangulation technique was used forexamining and analyzing data.
