Phra Biganesha\Ganesh is regarded as the Lord of Success and Wisdom. This belief originated in India and spread into Thailand. Nowadays, many Phra Biganesha statues have been built for devotees to pay respect and homage. Devotees of Phra Bighanesha believe in Phra Biganesha as the Lord of Success and pay homage to Phra Biganesha statues and sculptures at holy Hindu temples. The sculpture design is a integration between aesthetics and stylized form or posture of each incarnation of Phra Biganesha and Buddhist Dharma. Devotees believe that Phra Biganesha will protect them if they pay homage and that they could wish for healthy lives and for prosperity in their careers. Paying homage is regarded as proof of their respect. Currently, the majority of the 4 divined shrines in Bangkok share similarity in the form of homage rituals and the presences of a Brahmin who provides guidance to devotees. The design of Phra Biganesha statutes were built with various different materials. There were no problematic conditions in each the Hindu shrines due to systematic administration and operations that were not based on commercial benefit. There was a clear cultural merging between the homage ritual, Buddhism and Hinduism practices. Nowadays, the ritual offerings are more convenient than traditional practices due to convenient material offerings and modern adaptations of ritual conducts which were readily prepared by Brahmins and staffs at the shrines. The majority of ritual practices were dependant on the devotees which were inclined to Buddhism practices. While others combined Buddhism and Hinduism ritual practices together.
