| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | This study proposes the use of discursive psychology as a framework for studying how sexual violence is constructed in media discourse, more specifically newspaper articles. The analysis reveals three main components of these constructions: the rapist, the victim and the situation. The constructions of these components deal predominantly with distancing rape, and the allocation and mitigation of responsibility to the parties involved. Finally, the paper discusses the implications of this research, how and why problematic constructions are perpetuated, and what further research needs to be done. |
