| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | As traditional rural economies decline, new consumption-based economies are taking their place. Increasingly, these new economies are being constructed and places being re-imagined, reinvented and re-packaged to attract urban consumers. Spearheading this transition is a multitude of festivals that seek to position a given place positively within a burgeoning and highly competitive tourism marketplace. There is a proliferation of festivals spanning wine, cuisine, arts and heritage throughout rural Australia; Gibson and Connell (2005) estimate that some 600 music festivals exist in New South Wales alone. |
