| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | This study examines the implementation, repertoire and standardisationof the music-‐culture of ballroom dance as it is undertaken aboardmodern cruise ships. While repertoire and performance practice isstandardised across many lines, the importance that cruise linesplace on ballroom dance as a cruise tourism product is varied. Datafor this study is drawn from the music collection known as the ‘Princess Dance Book’2, from the author’s notes during his cruiseship employment, and from musician interviews undertaken in 2011. |
