| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | This chapter explores the rationale, role and function of a ‘teaching school’ in the BLM program. In the first section, the notion of building teacher capability is examined that in turn lays the foundations for section two. In this second section the ‘teaching school’ construct is defined and its elements explicated for points of difference with the traditional DEd practicum arrangement. In the third and final section of this chapter a case study is presented focusing on the Kenilworth State Community College Teaching School. While the ‘teaching school’ concept is a significant innovation in pre-service teacher education, this concept provides an opportunity to improve the pedagogical practices of the existing teaching workforce, and therefore has the potential to be a key school reform initiative. |
