ในการก่อสร้างที่อยู่อาศัยในปัจจุบันนี้ วัสดุที่ใช้ในการก่อสร้างค่อนข้างมีราคาสูงเมื่อเทียบกับสภาพเศรษฐกิจใน ปัจจุบันเนื่องจากต้นทุนในการผลิตสูงขึ้นทำให้ที่อยู่อาศัยไม่ว่าจะเป็นบ้าน เรือน ตึกแถว มีราคาแพงขึ้นไปด้วย ดังนั้นในการก่อสร้างจึงจำเป็นต้องหาวัสดุแบบใหม่ที่คำนึงถึงความประหยัด ความแข็งแรงและทนทาน ที่จะนำมาใช้ในการก่อสร้างที่อยู่อาศัยได้ดีกว่าแบบเดิม โดยการก่อสร้างแบบใหม่ซึ่งใช้อิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบในการก่อสร้างจะ ประหยัดกว่าการก่อสร้างแบบเดิมประมาณ 30- 40% เนื่องจากการก่อสร้างด้วยอิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบจะประหยัดทั้งค่าแรง และค่าวัสดุเพราะตัวบ้านไม่มีการหล่อเสาและการฉาบปูนซีเมนต์ผิวด้านนอก เนื่องจากตัวอิฐดินซีเมนต์มีความสวยงามอยู่แล้วจึงไม่จึงเป็นต้องมีการฉาบ ปูน ซึ่งการก่อสร้างแบบเดิมในการก่อผนังทั่วไปจะอยู่ที่ราคาประมาณ 350 บาทต่อตารางเมตร แต่ถ้าก่อด้วยอิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบจะมีราคาประมาณ 250 บาทต่อตารางเมตร และในการผลิตอิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบเพื่อใช้เป็นวัสดุก่อสร้าง สามารถใช้วัสดุที่หาได้ในท้องถิ่นซึ่งมีปริมาณมากพอและสามารถหาได้ง่ายและมี ราคาถูก โดยเฉพาะขี้เถ้าแกลบจากการสีข้าวจะมีขี้เถ้าแกลบเหลืออยู่ประมาณ 20%ของน้ำหนักเดิม ในแต่ละปีประเทศไทยได้แกลบจากการสีข้าวประมาณ 3 ล้านต้น ผลจากทางเคมีพบว่าขี้เถ้าแกลบมีซีลิกาเป็นองค์ประกอบสูงถึงประมาณ 90% ซึ่งขี้เถ้าแกลบสามารถใช้เป็นสารปอซโซลาน(Pozzolan) ในการผสมกับปูนซีเมนต์ปอร์แลนด์ทำให้เกิดปฎิกิริยาปอซโซลานิค(Pozzolanic Reaction) และเกิดเป็นปูนซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์ปอซโซลานา (Portland Pozzolana Cement) ซึ่งทำให้ซิลิกาอยู่ในรูปของผลึกและทำให้ปูนซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์ปอซโซลานามี คุณสมบัติดีขึ้น อิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบเป็นวัสดุก่อสร้างอีกชนิดหนึ่งที่สามารถผลิตได้ ง่าย และเมื่อนำไปก่อสร้างจริงจะประหยัดเวลาและค่าใช้จ่ายในการก่อสร้าง โดยปกติแล้วในการสร้างบ้านจะประกอบด้วย เสา คาน เป็นตัวรับน้ำหนักที่กระทำต่อตัวบ้าน แต่การก่อสร้างโดยใช้อิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบจะรับน้ำหนักโดยตัวอิฐที่ ก่อติดกันโดยรอบ ซึ่งสามารถรับน้ำหนักได้เหมือนกับเสาและคาน โดยในการก่อสร้างจะง่ายและประหยัดกว่าการก่อสร้างแบบเดิม การผลิตอิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบสามารถทำได้โดยการผสมกันระหว่างปูน ซีเมนต์ปอร์แลนด์กับดินและขี้เถ้าแกลบที่มีอยู่ในท้องถิ่นที่คัดเลือกดิน แล้ว ซึ่งสามารถหาดินได้ทุกพื้นที่ในประเทศไทยเป็นตัววัสดุในการผลิตอิฐดิน ซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบ ซึ่งการใช้ดินและขี้เถ้าแกลบเป็นตัววัสดุในการผลิตอิฐดินซีเมนต์ผสมขี้เถ้า แกลบ จะเป็นการช่วยประหยัดทรัพยากรป่าไม้ที่จะต้องถูกตัดมาเพื่อทำเป็นที่อยู่ อาศัยและเป็นการรักษาสภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมโดยทางอ้อมอีกด้วย In the construction building Nowadays, the construction materials are very expensive when compare with the current economic situation , because the cost of productions are increased , it will effect the price of house, commercial building will be increase too so, in the construction building , it will necessary to look for the new materials that will focus on saving , strength , and durable that will have more benefit than the previous one. By using the new materials Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash for the construction will save more than the old materials about 30-40%. Because to make the house by using Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash will be save in both labour and material cost because we do not use the column and without the plastering the surface outside, because the bricks have already beautiful, So no need for plastering. Generally the old method to make the wall the cost will be 350 Baht/ square metre(m2). But if using Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash the cost will be about 250 Baht/ square metre(m2). And to produce this materials for use in the construction can use the materials in the local area that have in the large quantities and easy to get and also lower price especially Husk Ash from rice will have Husk Ash remain about 20% of original weight. In each year Thailand has the Husk Ash from milling rice about 3 million tons. From the chemical result test we found that the Husk Ash has Silica about 90% which Husk Ash can use to be the Pozzolan Substant in mixing with Portland Cement it will have Pozzalanic Reaction and generate to be the Portland Pozzolana Cement with can make Silica in the form of Crystal and can make Portland Pozzolana Cement has more quality. Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash are the other construction materials that easy to produce and when use in the construction. It will be save time and construction expenditure. Normally to make the house it will consist of column, beam to be held up the weight that press to the house body, but the building by using Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash will held up the weight with the brick that connect to each others, that can be held up the weight like the column and beam. It will be easy and save more than the previous construction method. To produce the Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash can be done by mixing between Portland Cement , Soil and Husk Ash that already selected the soil from the local area , that can find this Soil in all area of Thailand to be the materials in producing Soil-Cement Brick with Husk Ash. By using the Soil and Husk Ash in the material it will be save the forest resource that will be cut for make the house and to be protection the environment indirect way also.
