1. ปัญหาเริ่มแรก แบ่งเป็น 2 ประเด็นคือ ประเด็นที่หนึ่ง การตีพิมพ์ผลงานวิจัย จากการทบทวนโครงการวิจัยที่ได้รับทุนจากคณะ แพทยศาสตร์ย้อนหลัง 3 ปี จำนวน 205 โครงการ คิดเป็นเงินทุน 11,567,715 บาท พบโครงการวิจัยที่ ดำเนินการแล้วเสร็จเพียง 71โครงการ (34.6%) และส่งตีพิมพ์ 36โครงการ (17.6 %) ประเด็นที่สอง การใช้ประโยชน์ในการรักษาพยาบาลและในเชิงพาณิชย์ จากการทบทวนผลงานวิจัยที่ตีพิมพ์ในวารสารต่างๆ ของบุคลากรในคณะแพทยศาสตร์ย้อนหลัง 4 ปี จำนวน 324 เรื่อง พบมี 38 เรื่อง (11.7%) ที่มีศักยภาพในการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการ รักษาพยาบาลและพัฒนาในเชิงพาณิชย์ได้ แต่มีเพียง 11 เรื่องเท่านั้นที่ได้รับการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ใน การรักษาพยาบาลได้จริง และยังไม่มีผลงานวิจัยที่ได้รับการจดสิทธิบัตรหรืออนุสิทธิบัตร 2. ทิศทางการวิจัย เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วม (participatory action research) เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการ บริหารจัดการทุนวิจัยของคณะฯ ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด ทั้งด้านกระบวนการวิจัย การตีพิมพ์ การนำ ผลงานไปประยุกต์ใช้ในทางการรักษาพยาบาลและพัฒนาในเชิงพาณิชย์ 3. ข้อค้นพบ 3.1. คณะฯ มีการพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านการวิจัยและมีการจัดสรรทุนวิจัยที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง อีกทั้ง มีระบบการสนับสนุนด้านการตีพิมพ์ที่ชัดเจน 3.2. อุปสรรคที่ทำให้กระบวนการบริหารงานวิจัยยังไม่ครบวงจร ได้แก่ 3.2.1 หัวข้อการวิจัยเป็นไปตามความคิดของนักวิจัยอย่างอิสระ โดยที่ทางคณะฯ ไม่ได้ กำหนดทิศทางที่ชัดเจน นักวิจัยจึงเน้นการสร้างผลงานวิจัยมากกว่าการนำผลงานวิจัย ไปใช้ประโยชน์ 3.2.2 เกณฑ์การพิจารณาทุนวิจัย ยังให้ความสนใจในด้านการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์น้อย 3.2.3 ขาดระบบการติดตามประเมินผลการดำเนินการวิจัยเป็นไปตามเวลาที่กำหนด 3.2.4 ขาดขบวนการเชื่อมโยงในการนำงานวิจัยไปประยุกต์ใช้ในทางคลินิก 3.2.5 บุคลากรของฝ่ายวิจัยมีน้อย จึงไม่สามารถให้คำปรึกษาแก่นักวิจัยในด้านต่างๆ ที่ เกี่ยวข้องกับงานวิจัย เช่น การขอจดสิทธิบัตร และการประยุกต์ใช้ผลงานวิจัยในทาง คลินิก เป็นต้น 4. แนวทางการนำผลงานวิจัยเพื่อพัฒนาไปสู่การประยุกต์ใช้ 4.1. ฝ่ายวิจัยฯ ได้ให้ความสำคัญของการวิจัยอย่างครบวงจร โดยปรับปรุงกระบวนการในการ บริหารจัดการทุนวิจัยให้มีประสิทธิภาพและเอื้อต่อการทำวิจัยของบุคลากร ทั้งกฎเกณฑ์การ ให้ทุน การติดตามผลการดำเนินงาน การสนับสนุนการตีพิมพ์ หรือสนับสนุนผลงานวิจัยที่ สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในทางคลินิกอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ฯลฯ 4.2. ส่งเสริมหรือสนับสนุนบุคลากรให้มีศักยภาพในการทำวิจัย และมีความตระหนักที่จะนำ ผลงานไปใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ 1. Initial problems can be divided into 2 categories 1.1 Publication of the research results From the projects granted by the Faculty in the past 3 years, with the total of 205 projects and 11567715 Thai Bath, we found only 71 projects are finished (34.6%) and 36 projects (17.6%) send out to be published. 1.2 Utilization in routine medical care and commercialization From all the research paper published in various journals written by the Faculty of Medicine staff in the past 4 years with the total of 324 titles, we found 38 titles (11.7%) had the potential to be utilized in routine medical care or can be commercialized, but only 11 titles had been used in medical care and none are patented. 2. Research Direction This project was a participatory action research designed to develop a more efficient management protocol to handle the research funding within the Faculty of Medicine so that there will be more researches, more publications and more utilizations in both routine medical practices and in commercialization. 3. Findings 3.1 The Faculty had a continuing process to assist its research staffs and provided internal funding for research. It also had a clear system to support publications. 3.2 Obstacles that do not allow the management research cycle to be complete are as follow 3.2.1 The research topics were fragmented and freely originated by the researcher’s ideas, instead of being directed by the Faculty research policy on everyday practical problems. 3.2.2 The criteria for evaluated a grant do not include the utilization aspect. 3.2.3 There are no evaluation process to monitor the unfinished projects 3.2.4 There are no connection between the research result and utilization in medical practice 3.2.5 There are limited amount of staffs that are capable of giving advice to researcher in the area of intellectual properties and clinical application of the research. 4. Recommendations for utilization of research result 4.1 The research administration office had emphasis on completing cycle of research by improving the management process of the research grant in an efficient way and facilitates the research activities of the staffs. These processes include the regulation on granting research fund, monitoring system for delayed research project, and supporting the publication or utilization to medical practice. 4.2 Assist or support the faculty academic and service staff so that they will increase their research potential and have a better attitude toward the utilizations of the research result.
