The article discusses the implementation of policies and public bureaucracy in Thailand. Some strategies of policy implementation are recommended to reduce the number of implementation problems and to avoid possible future mistakes. These strategies are designed to overcome problems in organization processes, alleviating the organization's capacity problem, possible solutions to goal-directed activity problems. Regular staff meetings and information sharing among agencies and sub-units are required in order to increase the degree of participation and reduce conflicting interpretation of the programme objectives and means and trying to establish simple and direct channels for programme implementation. Policy-makers or implementers can only take the lessons and strategies for reference. There may be some other factors, which will have a bearing upon the success or failure of policy implementation. The development and progress of the study of policy implementation will be enhanced by comparative cases but the actual application to particular locales and situations will have to be worked out specifically by the policy-makers and implementers of a particular case
