The objectives of this study are to examine the opinions of the parents and teachers regarding five aspects of school management. This study also examines and compares the opinions of teachers and parents toward school management on the basis of occupation, educational qualifications, gender and nationality. The respondents consisted of 108 parents and 25 teachers from Lertlah International Program School during the 1997 - 1998 school year. The findings are as follow. 1. All descriptor statements of general school management were positively perceived by parents and teachers except for the statement regarding the cost of student tuition fees. Teachers also rated services for parents and visitors, as well as the enforcement of rules and regulations for those concerned as satisfactory. 2.Eleven elements pertaining to academic management were positively perceived by both parent and teacher respondents. However, parents were only somewhat in agreement to the correction of student homework, remedial teaching for less academically able students, and sufficient teaching and learning library resources while the teachers rated the effective evaluation of students and sufficient teaching and learning library resources as somewhat in agreement. 3.Variables under school and community relations management were positively perceived by parents with the exception of the school welcome parental involvement in childrens activities. Teachers ratings were in the somewhat agree range for only half of the descriptor variables. 4.Both parents and teachers rated the variables in the aspect of building and site management as somewhat negative. 5.All variables under student activities management were perceived in a positive manner by the teachers except for the quality of food at the school and the physical education activities provided for the students. Parents on the other hand were in the somewhat agree range for eight of the variables in this category. 6.Teachers opinions were more positive for student activities management. 7.There were no differences on parents opinion on school management according to occupation. 8.There were differences on parents opinion according to educational qualification. Low qualification were more positive for school management. 9.There were some differences on teachers opinion on school management according to gender. 10.There were differences on teachers opinion on school management according to nationality. The opinions of Thai teachers were more positive than Canadian teachers. Generally, the school management of LIPS was perceived in a positive manner by both parent and teacher respondents. The information from parents and teachers is critical criteria which can be utilized for the expansion of LIPS in a horizontal position with the addition of new education programs, as well as vertical expansion in terms of operational growth. Along with this growth the prestige of LIPS and the way in which it serves its stakeholders is a long awaited concept for the improvement of educational management and services in Thailand.
