The purpose of this research was to examine, within Orems self-care theory, the relationships among perception in health problems, some selected basic conditioning factors : sex, age, education, income and self-care practice of the Industrial Youth Workers. The samples were selected by sample random sampling method. They were 200 of the youths that worked in Asia Porchlain industry Co., Ltd., Amphur Nongkae, Saraburi. Both of Perception in HeaIth Problems questionaire and Self-care Pract ice questionaire ware developed based on Health Perception Theory and Orems Self-Care Theory. Results of the study revealed that some selected basic conditioning factors : age, education, income were positively correlated with perception in health problems, while perception in health problems, age, education and income were positively correlated with self-care practice. With stepwise procedure of Multiple Regression, the significant predictor of self-care practice in Industrial Youth Workers was the perception in health problems. Definitely the perception on benefit of self-care, the perception on severity of health problems and age were significant predictors of self-care practice in Industrial Youth Workers. Results of the study reflect generalizability of Orems conceptual framework that self-care is correlated with perception in health problems and some selected basic conditioning factors in healthy people such as the youth that worked in industry.
