The main purpose of this study was evaluated the quality of nursing care. Twenty children with oro-edontracheal tube in Intensive Care Unit were included in this study. They were selected by purposive samlping. The instrument for evaluated the quality of nursing care and patientss cutcome were modified from the standard of nursing care for patient with endotracheal tube in Intensive Care unit which develpoed base on Delphi technique by Jongjit Kanagul. The inverstigater collected the data by observation daily from 7.00 am. - 9.00 pm. Observation began at the time that patients were intubated until weaned off oro - endotracheal tube or dead. Tha data were analyed by using persentage. The level of quality analyed by carters scale and correlation was analyed by the spearman rank correlation coefficient. The results showed that 1) the quality of nursing care was rated as good 80% and moderated 20%. The quality of patients outcome was rated as good 85%, moderate 10% and poor 5%. 2) Relationship between total the nursing care and potients outcome was no statisically significant (p < .05). This study suggested that in Intensive Care Unit and others unit that have children with ore-endotracheal tube should have audit the quality of nursing care regularly and the instrument in this sutdy should be used as a standard of nursing care by combining with the individual of nursing care plan.
