The objective of this research is to studyAgricultural Information Sources in ChanthaburiProvince on types of information sources, forms ofoperation of sources and problems of sources. Theresearch also includes the analysis of forms andsubjects of information sources published during1987-1996. The result of this study are as following :Agricultural Information sources in Chanthaburiprovince is divided into 3 types namely productionsources, dissemination sources and service sources(library). Dissemination Sources is the largestsources. Regarding form of operation of sources,farmers are the target use group of production,dissemination and service. Most of informationoperation form have no financial support. There are twoforms of agricultural information sources namelyprinted and non-printed materials. Most of storagemethod are by subject heading. Most of agriculturalinformation resources are distributed free ofcharge.Most of services are reference and informationservices, circulation services and photocopyingservice. Main problems for the operation ofagricultural information sources are the shortage ofbudget and manpower. Analysis of 324 published agricultural materials.Most of materials(315 items) produced by governmentagencies. Most of informations (47 items) are in theform of annual report. The main subject (89 items) ishorticulture. Most produced period (82 items) is theyear 1996.
