The purpose of this research is to study thesignificant factors influencing the acceptance ofpolitical role of women in Phayao province. Thehypothesis are derived from theories of leadership,political culture, and political participation in orderto examine the influencing factors,form the highest tothe lowest, regarding the acceptance of political roleof women. They are as following -: 1 ) politicalparticipation 2) performance of political role, 3)leadership, 4) the acceptance of role and status, 5)performance of administration. The method employed here is a survey research.The data is collected form random sampling of 365questionnaire from the population research in Phayaoprovince. Besides the interviews of female politicalleaders, the female representatives are done toincrease of this research. The results of the study confirm some of thehypothesis. All five factors stated above are relevantof the actualization of the acceptance of the politicalrole of women in Phayao province. With regard to itsstatistic significations, the correlation is at themedium level. However,when set the values of thecorrelation in order from the most significant to thelowest, the result differs from the hypothesis. Thecorrelation set from the highest to the lowest is asfollowing: 1) the acceptance of role and status, 2)performance of administration, 3) politicalparticipation, 4) leadership, 5) performance ofpolitical role. The research indicates that what has been statedabove can fairly explain the acceptance of political ofwomen in Phayao province. However,some details must beappropriately examined from the empirical researchbefore it can be used in any specific case study in the future.
