The objectives of this research are to study supply chain of Thai-Indonesia fruit trade and to analyze opportunities and threats on the trade between these two countries. The targeted fruits are longan, durain, coconut, and tamarind. We aim to find the expected AEC’s impacts and specify proactive guidelines responded to the impacts. The results state that, for targeted fruit, the weakness of Thai Fruit is unusual large numbers of incoming Chinese middlemen in Thai fruit collection. From diamond model analysis, we find that Thailand has relatively good competitive advantage but fair opportunity on fruit trade with Indonesia. The key success factors of Thai fruit trade with Indonesia are Indonesia’s import regulations, Thai government’s production extension policy, and Thai fruit reputation. As a result, we expect negative impact of AEC on Thai-Indonesia fruit trade. The proactive guideline for Thai government is to use diplomatic negotiation and construct continued relationship between the two countries. Also, GAP should be promoted as the required standard for exported fruits’ production in responding to Indonesia’s fruit import regulations.
