| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Marine archaeological explorations were carried out in and around Mul Dwarka (Kodinar) on the Saurshtra coast. The oldest remains are attributed to the Harappan phase at Kanjetar and Kaj. Both sites are situated close to a creek which makes them potential sites for ports or trade centres. A few amphorae sherds were found at Kaj, which suggests that the site had trade contacts with the Roman world around the Christian era. A number of stone anchors were found from Mul Dwarka, Chhara and Kanjetar, similar to those reported from Dwarka, Bet Dwarka, Miyani, Visawada and Somnath. A medieval site at Chhara is being destroyed by sea erosion. This site has potential for understanding sea level changes along the Saurashtra coast during the medieval period |
