| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Pollutant dispersion problems along the Indian coastal waters are characterisEd. by site-specificity, as a result of seasonal and physiographic variabilities. Presence of large rivers, estuaries and backwaters add to the problems of waste disposal, because of sensitivity of freshwater systems. Northern part of east coast of India are prone to severe cyclonic activity and they are influencEd. by large river discharge. In India use of sea for domestic and industrial waste disposal has been of growing concern in recent years. Three of four major metropolitan cities are along the coast. A variety of industries directly using sea as a source and/or sink have been established. An addition two atomic power plants on sea shore add to pollution. This paper highlights one on the pollution dispersion studies along Indian coasts |
