| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | New products having structures 1 and 2 have been characterized in the Duff reaction thymol arid carvacrol. These products have been identified as 2.6'-dithymylmethane 1 and 5.5' -dicarvacryl methane 2 respectively on the basis of spectral data and the identity confirmed by their synthesis. Strubell's crystalline compound has been identified as 2.6' dithymylmethane and not 2, hydroxy methyl-3-methyl 6-isopropyl phenol as reported earlier |
