This study, 'The Pattern of Life Quality Development for Private University Students in Bangkok', was a qualitative research study. The research data were collected by document study, observation, in-depth interviews, focus groups, workshops and field study. This study was the research and developed. The data was then analyzed in line with the aims by a descriptive analysis method. The sample consisted of teachers, professors, students and parents from Bangkok University, Sripatum University, Siam University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, St. John's University and South-East AsiaUniversity. The total sample was ninety people. The aims of the research were: 1) to study student lifestyles and problems, 2) to study processes organizing activities for developing life quality of students, and 3) to present a model of activities that can be used to improve student lifestyles for the better. The study found was conducted under six headings. Results regarding discipline and morals found that overall students did not display good consciences and morality. They do not see the importance of strong morals. With regards nutrition, many students prefer to eat food from department stores. Few students eat in University canteens. In terms of residential and environmental aspects, student quality of life is good. Some students live in groups and share money for rent because it is more convenient and can save money. Concerning their safety of life and property, some students stay far away from university. They take the bus for many hours and arrive home late. The road is dangerous when they go home so late because there are no people and it is dark. With regards society, economy and family, most students come from the countryside and inner Bangkok. Finally, regarding conservation of culture, traditions, nature and the environment, traditional sense has always been and remains very weak among students. Campaigns in raising awareness of traditional Thai culture can help students to realize the importance of their heritage. In Bangkok University, activities are created to make students realize their responsibilities and create a consciousness of social 'volunteers'. Students make useful sacrifices for their environment, making them more united as a group. In Sripatum University there are activities that focus on creating harmony in society, to promote academic quality. These maintain the cultural environment and all of the activities must be consistent with the Mission of University. At Siam University, activities are focused on conservation of culture and the environment, promoting and supporting the main philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej: 'the philosophy of a selfsufficient economy'. All activities must be consistent with the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC). At theUniversity of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, activities are focused on promotion of knowledge, virtue, ethics and environmental conservation. Equally valued are activities that promote people in the nation and society to unify. In St. John's University, activities focus promoting virtue, ethics and creating harmony in society. The highlighted activities are mainly concerning religion and the philosophy of a self-sufficient economy. The activities help prevent spread of all vices within the student society. In the South-East Asia University, events align courses of the University with the main philosophy of the King and unity in society.
