| บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย | : | Teaching geography for social justice involves moving beyond the condemnation of the disadvantaged to exclusion and marginalisation, to embarking on a strategy of inverting the curriculum. This strategy accepts the need for geographical education to provide students with important learnings about the environment and people's interaction with it. But more than this, in teaching geography for social justice the intention is to select, organise and transmit the content of the geography curriculum in such a way as to build on the technical, interpretive and emancipatory interests of the disadvantaged. Related to this is the need to have students generalise this geographical knowledge and skills to other situations and peoples, rather than confining it to the disadvantaged. |
