The Objectives of this descriptive research were to investigate the relationship between the perceptions of sensorineural hearing loss due to attacking noise in the work place and the cue to use ear protector device on the ear protector device using behavior and to examine the prediction ability of perceptions and cues to action on the ear protector device using behavior. The sample consisted of 250 female workers who operated weaving machines in one of textile factories in Samuthprakarn province. Data were collected through the questionnaire in group interview. The statistic used in analysing the data were descriptive statistics, ie percentage, mean, Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient

and Multiple Regression Analysis. The finding were as follows : 1. The perception about sensorineural hearing less due to attacking noise in the work place is the moderate medium level. The ear protector device using rate of workers is 45.9 percent. The ear protector device using behavior is below criteria. 2. There were statistically significant correlations between the usage of ear protector device and the following variables: the perceptions about sensorineural hearing loss due to attacking noise in the work place and the internal and external cues to action such as tinnitus, tension headache, fatigue, the feeling of reduction in the ability to hear, received training, pamphlet or having seen posters related to danger of sound and the prevention, beeing accused by others for having hearing less, and knowing the result of sensoritest. 3. There were statistically significant and positive correlations between the ear protector device using behavior and the perception about sensorineural hearing loss due to attacking noise in the workplace as well as the external cues to use ear protector device. 4. The perception about severity in sensorineural hearing loss, external cue and the risk perception about sensorineural hearing loss could significantly predicted and explained about 30.44 percent of the ear protector device using behavior. The regression equation which did the best prediction on the ear protector device using behavior is :- The ear protector deviec using behavior = -6.47772+.27585 (the perception about severity in the disease) + .33195 (External cue) +.24359 ( the risk perception about the disease) The results from this study suggest that the factory should provide a yearly hearing ability check up for the workers. Inadditive, the comfortable ear plug should be distributed along with different educational activities to promote the ear plug using behavior.
