The objectives of this research were to study the teachers roles in teaching Environmental Educatio in Lower Secondary Schools in Educational Regions 9,10 and 11, to investigate factors which influence teachers roles, and to survey problems and obstacles in teaching Environmental Education. The samples consisted of 313 Sciences and Social Studies teachers 157 administrators in Educatioanl Regions 9 10 and 11 were included. Data were collected by two sets of questionnaires. The frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product moment correlation, Stepwise multiple regression and F-test were used in analysis data. The results were : 1. Roles of teachers in teaching Environmental Education were as follows :1.1 Methodologies in teaching Environmental Education were lecture, discussion and group report.1.2 Cultivation of Environment awareness were always done. Most teachers motivated thier students how to realize the natural resources and environment and how to develop the environment in their schools and communities.1.3 Instructional aids were not often used. Only pictures were more popular than others.1.4 Extar-Curricular activities were not done. 2. The factor which related to roles of teachers in teaching Environmental Education was working load. 3. The problems in the teaching Environmental Education were lacking of instructional aids, text books, supplementary readings and reference books.
