บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย :

This thesis was set out to examine and identify instructional / teaching methods andmodels adopted by the preacher monks involved in the Life Quality Development Project, Dhamma Promotion and Dissemination Center

Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province. Thestudy population comprised 11 preacher monks participating in the project in 2002, 323attending adults and 133 participating youths. Data collection instruments were questionnaire,observation and interview forms. Collected data were subsequently analyzed using percertage, average and standard deviation. Analyzed results were descriptively and analytically presented and accompanied by tables. Findings were :as follows : 1. From the collected data of the participants' opinions in the Life Quality DevelopmentProject, Dhamma Promotion and Dissemination Center, Saraphi District, Chiang-Mai Province in2002 according to the 10 Buddhist methods of Dhamma delivering, it was found that the secondmethod - the selection of the presented topic to the audiences' innate - characters, the eighthmethod - Serving as a moral model had been rated at a high level, but for the 1st, 3rd, 4th,5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th , the audiences' opinions had been rated at a medium level on theaverage. For the application of the teaching methods, it was found that most of the preaching monks had alternately adopted the 10 Buddhist ways depending on circumstances and presented topics .45.45 percent reportedly used the fifth method-citing metaphors, while 18.18 percent used the eighth method - self- model. None was found to have resorted the seventh method -supplementing the sermon with instruments or media because it was not convenient and the time restraint. 2. As regard the application of Buddhist principles in daily living, it was found that theBuddhist principles on self-reflection, self - reliance, which help to generate gratefulness, life adaptability in society had been increasingly practiced among the adults. The youths also practically used these Buddhist principles in their daily living, especially those practices that benefit: them in self - problems resolving, helping others and so on.
